About the Assignment
You will join an international planning environment where you take ownership of the midterm demand forecast for a global product portfolio. In this role, you work across regions and collaborate closely with sales, product management, production, purchasing, and external partners to create a reliable, unconstrained demand forecast.
You will play a key part in connecting demand insights with business assumptions, risks, and opportunities. The assignment combines analytical work with broad stakeholder collaboration, giving you the opportunity to influence important decisions related to availability, inventory, and portfolio performance. You will also contribute to strengthening demand planning capabilities by aligning ways of working, supporting consistent use of tools, and driving continuous improvement across forecasting processes and documentation standards.
Job DescriptionLead the end-to-end demand planning process, from statistical forecasting to validation and final forecast delivery.
Own and maintain the forecast for a global product portfolio across different item categories.
Coordinate and challenge input from sales and product management to improve forecast quality.
Facilitate demand reviews and support alignment across functions.
Work actively with product life cycle activities such as phase-in and phase-out to improve demand signals.
Build scenarios based on planning assumptions, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making.
Analyze trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions linked to KPI performance and forecasting deviations.
Support communication of portfolio demand performance to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to best practices, standardized ways of working, and better use of planning systems and documentation.
RequirementsExperience working with demand planning in regional or global environments.
Ability to apply statistical forecasting methods, scenario planning, and commercial input in the planning process.
Strong analytical ability, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, identify root causes, and turn insights into action.
Ability to work confidently in demand planning modules within Advanced Planning Systems.
Good understanding of S&OP processes and how to support alignment across functions.
Ability to communicate clearly, influence stakeholders, and challenge constructively in collaboration with sales, product management, and S&OP teams.
A structured and proactive way of working, with the ability to stay organized in a dynamic environment.
Advanced education (3-4-year University degree) or equivalent experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Nice to haveEducation with a focus on operations, planning, logistics, or analytics.
Basic understanding of statistics, forecasting methods, or data analysis through formal education or equivalent training.
Experience supporting standardization and process improvement initiatives within planning or supply chain.
