hela Sverige SKF Motion Technologies is a stand-alone Business Unit in SKF. Operations include manufacturing and sales of Linear Motion and Actuation solutions used in Industrial Automation and Medical Applications as well as in a wide range of other industries. The L&AT Business Unit comprise of 7 factories and 14 sales units. External net Sales is approximately 2 BSEK and we employ around 1200 people.
As our Demand Chain and Logistics Manager has decided to take on a new challenge within SKF, we are now looking for his successor.
Key responsibilities
• Define and drive inbound and outbound logistics solutions to optimize costs, lead-times and capital employed.
• Coach and challenge units to optimize inventories to ensure world class customer service, stable manufacturing processes, minimum obsolescence and right level of capital employed.
• Drive the strategic direction of purchasing in SMT. Follow and facilitate the main purchasing activities from the BU perspective and ensure benefits are captured.
• Lean Manufacturing. Drive development and deployment of factory DCH tools, systems and processesaimed at helping factories and sales to reduce waste and improve operations.
To establish excellent communication and relationship with the different working partners.
Your background
• You have a 5-10 years of experience from a similar position.
• You have proven experience within logistics and factory demand chain.
• Fluent in English.
• International experience.
You will enjoy this position if you have:
• A mature personality with a high energy, drive and influential skills aimed at driving all units within SKF SMT towards World Class Demand Chain.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to work in a global organization.
• Good teamwork skills as well as individual working capacity.
• A willingness to travel, roughly 80 days/year.

Additional information for you
Location for this position is in one of the major SKF sites, preferably Gothenburg, Schweinfurt, Chambéry.
