Job Summary and Main Responsibilities
Demand and Inventory Planning at Materials Management is a part of Logistics Services in the Volvo Group. We are now looking for a Demand and Inventory Planner for our team in Eskilstuna.

In this role, you will be part of a team of Demand and Inventory Planners working to ensure high quality forecasting and optimal theoretical mix of inventory and service for Volvo Construction Equipment. Doing so requires good statistical, analytical and communicational skills. We are driving the sales and operations planning for the service market and as such take a multidisciplinary view of the supply chain operation. As a Demand and Inventory Planner you will monitor, analyze and steer the supply chain from an operational level but also the opportunity to develop methods and processes for improving and innovating the planning process, this by combining traditional techniques with future technology.

Competences - Who are we looking for?
• Strong analytical skills and ability to tell a story based on data
• Ability to investigate and solve problems independently, and clearly communicate results
• Comfortable learning new technologies
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries and levels to get results.
• Ambitious self-starter who enjoys a good challenge and creative problem solving with a high-level of own personal drive
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Swedish with peers and senior management
• Imports and exports good ideas and best practices
• Ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Computer Modeling: Knowledge of statistical and mathematical computer programs and modeling techniques. Ability to apply and analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates
• Very good knowledge in data analysis tools such as Excel/Access/ClickView/ or similar and also preferable understanding of coding languages like Python/Numpy etc.
• Communication: Aptitude to analyze and develop a deep and holistic understanding and be able to package it in ways that is responsive to different stakeholder groups.
• Demand Forecasting: Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and inputs (e.g., business trends, seasonality, consumption patterns)
• Demand Planning: Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies to perform short and long-term planning both in terms of forecast and inventory. Ability to incorporate strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats into planning strategies and execution tasks
• Process Improvement: Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions that will improve current state

Education
M.Sc. within logistics, mathematics/statistics or other relevant areas
