Demand and Inventory Planning at Materials Management is a part of Logistics Services in the Volvo Group. We are now looking for a demand and inventory planner for our team in Gothenburg.
In this role, you will be part of a team of Demand and Inventory Planners working to ensure high quality forecasting of future spare parts demand for Volvo Trucks, Bus and Penta. Doing so requires good statistical, analytical and communicational skills. We are driving the sales and operations planning for the service market and as such take a multidisciplinary view of the supply chain operation. As a demand planner you will monitor, analyze and steer the supply chain by forecasting but also need to be able to make those numbers tangible for others in the organization.
Ideal background / Areas we see that you would develop in this position
• Computer Modeling: Knowledge of statistical and mathematical computer programs and modeling techniques. Ability to apply and analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates
• Communication: Aptitude to analyze and develop a deep and holistic understanding and be able to package it in ways that is responsive to different stakeholder groups.
• Demand Forecasting: Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and inputs (e.g., business trends, seasonality, consumption patterns)
• Demand Planning: Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies to perform short and long-term planning. Ability to incorporate strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats into planning strategies and execution tasks
• Process Improvement: Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions that will improve current state
