The Test Lead / Manager is responsible for: Building up and leading the "Testing Team" to the success of solution deliveries.
Delivery Process & Test Lead responsibilities
• In collaboration with the other stakeholders (process leader, project leaders, solution owners and Solution Area Responsible (SAR), agree the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans.
• Lead the work to re-define and establish a clear software delivery and test process.
• Estimate the testing to be done and plan to acquire the necessary resources.
• Recognize when test automation is appropriate for business acceptance test and, if it is, then plan the effort and consult with other groups, e.g. suppliers, SARs, and Solution Owners.
• Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the business acceptance test cases, test procedures and test suites.
• Ensure proper configuration management of the test ware produced and traceability of the tests to the test basis.
• As test execution comes near, make sure, together with support from the supplier, that the test environment is put into place (including necessary base data) before test execution and managed during test execution.
• Schedule the tests for execution and then monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
• During test execution write summary reports on test status if required/requested.
Delivery Process & Test Lead needs to have a close collaboration with the team which is the main persons having test task included in their role.
Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in above responsibilities and task we need the support of an external consultant with the following experience and qualifications:
• Working with software development with external software suppliers.
• Working in an agile development setting.
• Working together with solution owners with the backlog, prioritizing planning and re-planning.
• Test management, being able to contribute in the establishment of a test strategy and management of test environments.
• Working with release management as we are moving towards continuous delivery and have many steps to agree and implement.
• Working in a retail setting.
• Can understand retail operation as well as how the IT platforms used for running these processes fit together.
• Have excellent analytical skills. Able to see the big picture as well as the details and to structure information and derive conclusions and consequences out of them.
• Able to interact with strong stakeholders confidently - understand them and their needs as well as making them understand you.
• Able to explain technical information in a simple and easy-to understand way.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent level of English (verbally and in writing).
• Some travel internationally might be required.
