The Safe & Efficient Driving (SED) product development stream is a newly formed engineering department within Vehicle Technology at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. We lead and develop Safety and efficiency software solutions for safe and sustainable transportation.
Our products consist of software and hardware related to Active and Passive safety for trucks we also develop tactical and strategic software solutions to improve efficiency and productivity of the transportation industry.

About the role:
We are excited to welcome a highly motivated and enthusiastic Delivery Manager to lead our Safe and Efficient project/epic execution organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President, you will oversee a talented team of Epic Owners, guiding them towards the successful delivery of our ambitious organizational objectives. As the driving force behind our output, you will play a vital role in the success of SED, VT and GTT.
Key Responsibilities:
* In this dynamic role, you will ensure that our software development projects are executed with excellence, efficiency, and innovation. This means operational duties as well as leading a team of passionate Epic Owners.
* As the person responsible for our organization's ultimate output, you will guarantee that all projects meet their timelines, quality and budget objectives. Collaborating closely with the Vice President and the senior leaders in the leadership team, you will develop and implement execution plans to deliver our ambitious product roadmaps.
* Your leadership will foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Through regular performance reviews, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities, you will ensure that your team is motivated and empowered to excel.
* For VT and SED flagship projects you will represent and drive the work for our organization.
* Your role is pivotal in creating a positive and engaging work culture with high performance as guiding star.
* Clear and consistent communication is crucial in this role. You will maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies. Your ability to convey complex information in an accessible and inspiring manner will be key to building strong relationships and trust.
Who are you?
* To thrive in this role, you should have a master's degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* You have extensive experience in project management within the automotive or transportation industry is essential, with a proven track record of leading teams to successful project delivery.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team are crucial.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, are necessary. Your strategic mindset, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to changing priorities will set you apart.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required, as you will interact with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Lean principles are highly desirable.
