Defold is one of our two internally developed and supported game engines. The Defold development team, currently 15 people, is responsible for delivering features & support to our game teams across the company. Our growing team is now looking for an experienced Product Director to drive all initiatives related to one of the product tracks within Defold.
Your role within our Kingdom
You will have strategic ownership for all projects under one of Defold?s pillars and you will be responsible for their successful execution. As our technical product lead you will look after go-to market efforts and the external positioning of Defold by building close relationships with external vendors and our target audience (developers and companies working in/with the gaming industry). You will be responsible for delivering projects within budget and set timeframes. In this position you report directly to the Defold Director and manage a full stack team.
There is a tremendous entrepreneurial zeal within King and the Defold team and this represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced product lead to play a major role in the success and growth of Defold. We are looking for an experienced hands-on candidate that has previously held a product management role and who has a proven track record in building external relationships. The ideal candidate has got experience in establishing a new business line for an established international technology organisation and/or has experience in monetising a technical consumer product as a Head of Product for a high growth technology business.
Skills to create thrills
5+ years in a project management and product lead role
Relevant degree or equivalent
Strong business acumen
Experience in the game industry is nice to have
Excellent written and spoken English
