Consisting mostly of BAe ATP, the operated fleet also includes CRJ-200, B737 and B767.
Customer activity is divided approximately 50% by serving the Integrated Express parcel carries such as DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx, ChronoPost and 50% in the service of National Mail organisations such as Posten Norway, Chronopost and Royal Mail.

Responsible to: WAS Part 145 Maintenance Manager
Role Summary:
Defect Control function shall be responsible for that an overall control and management of the defects that appears under production is handled and rectified in a time and cost effective way.
Ensuring that we carry out the fault isolation and troubleshooting in way that leads to a minimum of down time and delays.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor unscheduled defects arising, plan action together with LMC , Part 145 Planning and line station engineers.
• Handle complicated troubleshooting and ensure that there is an action plan for all defects in the customer's fleet using the RAL system as the common denominator.
• Keep track of parts removed for troubleshooting and recertification, if part confirmed serviceable.
• Ensure that the troubleshooting is performed in a cost effective manner.
• Ensure that the troubleshooting is being performed in accordance with the available airworthiness data and manuals such as AMM, EMM, WMM, SRM, CMM and troubleshooting manual etc.
• Work together and support Rotable Controller with processing of component strip reports.
Duties:
• On a daily basis monitor upcoming defect and unscheduled maintenance items.
• Work together with the customer's engineering department to the extent needed. Ensuring that customers' engineering is involved at an early stage when support is needed to enable rectification of defects.
• Handle and drive complicated and extensive troubleshooting, ensuring that an action plan is developed that moves the troubleshooting forward step by step.
• Take the appropriate actions and plan for rectification of repetitive defects collected by LMC. Keep and update a follow up file in RAL for each defect, so that a clear step by step movement in the trouble shooting process can be followed. (Using add to existing).
• Attend the customer defect and Part 145 meetings.
• Collate and publish a monthly report highlighting the 5 top problems per aircraft type solved each month.
Academic/Educational Requirements:
• EASA Part 66 licensed or equal. Preferable type rated on Bae ATP, B 737 and CRJ.
• Used to Microsoft office, particular Excel, Good skills and knowledge in RAL system.
Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
• Hands on experience from aircraft line maintenance and troubleshooting, not just parts replacement.
• Good knowledge and understanding of EASA Part 145 regulations and its limitations.
• Analytic.
• Thorough and always completes what's been started. No lose ends.
