We are now looking for a DC System Engineer who will be playing an important role in our development team. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work in a creative environment to develop our DC grid concept with which we integrate EV charging, energy storage, and solar power.

The Role

The role as DC Systems Engineer for our DC grid development is broad and will cover a wide range of aspects in the specification, design, planning, installation, and operation of LVDC grids and their related applications.You will be part of an engaged and driven team that is learning from one another, solve problems together and continuously challenge ourselves. Through a structured way of working, we become efficient and develop solutions that will move us towards our goals.

Within your role, you will carry out simulations and complement simulations with physical measurements and experiments in laboratory environments as well as in real-world installations. You will need to consider all aspects of LVDC systems including electrical dimensioning, electrical safety, EMC, selectivity, black start as well as control and communication aspects.

About you

• You're super-passionate about renewable energy and technology.

• You are a meticulous problem solver, driven by development, and curious to learn more.

• You make pragmatic scoping decisions and can explain why the team is doing something a certain way.

• You like the community in a team and value working together to reach a common goal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience in both simulation and hardware/lab environments.

• Knowledge of Python, Unix and Unix shell scripting.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Bonus qualifications

• Knowledge of Control Theory.

• Experience in Embedded SW programming.

• Understanding of electrical standards/grid codes.

• Experience with motor/converter control system design and implementation.

• Knowledge of AC and DC power systems.

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).

Our main office is located in Spånga, Stockholm and will move to a new office in Sundbyberg later this year. In addition, we have a smaller office located in Linköping and we offer the possibility of a hybrid workspace.
