Join our team as a Microsoft Data Center Project Manager for Logistics and take on the exciting challenge of managing logistics projects, standalone or as sub projects of larger scale projects for our data centers. In this role, you will collaborate with other project managers, logistics and IT teams, as well as Data Center management to ensure the success of your projects. As a subject matter expert, you will act as an escalation point and provide support to logistics teams at all Data Center campuses in country.

Reporting directly to the country operations director, you will play a central role in meeting service delivery objectives by proactively improving processes, troubleshooting service incidents, and escalating issues to the appropriate stakeholders. You will also follow safety policies and procedures, participate in root cause analysis of incidents, and build a solid understanding of data center procedures.

Plan, schedule, and execute projects and site deliverables in alignment with deployment timelines and required site readiness dates.
Track and take action on shipment incidents and escalate as needed to meet deadlines.
Ensure that the need-by date established in all tools is correct.
Keep workflows up to date.
Support deployment teams with last-mile courier communications.
Monitor and take action on delivery dates for production releases.
Schedule and coordinate deployment materials transfers between data centers.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of cables and consumables.
Ensure that logistics standard operating procedures and risk assessments are in place, and assist in their creation if needed.
Calculate materials and consumables needs and request quotes.
Identify new suppliers.
Collaborate with others to accommodate scheduling needs.
Share expertise and provide guidance on standard logistics processes and procedures for preparing, planning, and performing deployments.
Ensure that work is appropriately prioritized and that resources and team capabilities are in place for deployments.
Prioritize data center workload with the logistics team to maximize response and resolution of receiving, replacement, and return merchandise authorization requests, meeting service level agreements.

Required Qualifications:
Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, identifying needs and prioritizing your own work
Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management tools.

Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of logistics in hyper scale datacenters
Experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling).
Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
