Are you a skilled Database Specialist driven by transforming complex data landscapes into high-performing cloud environments?
Randstad Digital is now looking for an experienced consultant for an exciting, long-term assignment within the domain of connected services and digital transformation in Gothenburg. As part of a specialized Data Foundation team, you will play a key role in managing and developing the application databases that power modern, global digital solutions.
Responsibilities
As a Database Specialist, you will combine traditional DBA responsibilities with modern cloud engineering. You will work closely with product development teams to ensure their solutions are stable, secure, and highly scalable.
Your key accountabilities include:
Managing and optimizing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle databases within an AWS environment.
Handling daily operations, performance tuning, capacity planning, and consolidation of large-scale data.
Providing technical support and guidance to product teams regarding runtime activities and architectural choices.
Collaborating with Domain Architects to design robust new database solutions and secure deliveries.
Driving automation to improve service quality, stability, and security across the database landscape.
Participating in On-Call support according to the team's schedule.

Qualifications
We are looking for an analytical and proactive professional who enjoys acting as an enabler for application teams. Your personality is a major factor in your success; we value team players who take ownership of technical challenges and deliver according to plan in Agile sprints.
Required Competencies:
At least 3-5 years of professional experience managing PostgreSQL and MongoDB in critical production environments.
Proven hands-on experience with database management in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and strong cloud engineering literacy.
Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational database design, and query optimization.
Ability to work independently and drive technical activities from concept to production-ready design.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Nice-to-have Competencies:
Experience in software development within the database domain.
Experience implementing changes in large-scale, complex database environments.
Familiarity with monitoring tools beyond standard cloud-native services.
Understanding of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps workflows (e.g., Git/Azure DevOps).
