hela Sverige Opera Software is looking for a Database Engineer to join the growing Opera Payments engineering team in Gothenburg, Sweden or Beijing, China.The ideal candidate should be able to work together with the developers, development and operations engineers, project leads, and the security team to grow and improve our cloud infrastructure and in particular our Database.Opera Payments Platform (OPay) enables users to pay for various services through their mobile or web browser. It provides fast, easy, and secure payments and money transfers. Our products enable more than 350 million internet consumers to discover and connect with the content and services that matter most to them, regardless of the device, network, or location.ResponsibilitiesImprove, maintain and scale our database management system according to the needs of the projectReview and optimise our applications DB useCooperate with the security team to ensure that our setup remains secureOversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutionsProvide technical and architectural support to the developersRequirementsB.Sc. or M.Sc. in IT or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of databases and data miningSelf-motivated, structured, quality-driven, and able to take initiativeStrong SQL and NoSQL DB administration experience at scaleDeep understanding of distributed databasesFluency in English, both written and spoken, and good communication skillsIdeal job requirementsExperience with AWS services, such as ECS, EC2 and RedshiftHands-on experience with docker containers orchestrationProgramming skillsMongoDB administration experienceExperience with Google BigQueryExperience with version control and issue tracking (git, Jira)
