At Klarna we are driven to unlock big data for our next generation payments platform. Our Data Cluster is responsible for collecting, developing and distributing data to all of Klarna's products and services. With a recent investment of $155MM and being named one of Europe's fastest growing companies, you will be responsible for delivering our most valued asset to all international business units.

Working tasks:

You will manage Klarna's database environments and be responsible for performing database design, development and optimization in both development and production environments. This role includes designing, planning for and implementing database solutions with great performance and capacity. Together with other departments you will plan for operations issues such as monitoring, maintenance and support.

There will be a focus on the programming aspect of database design, such as analyzing data inquiry needs, ensuring security of information and organizing layout to best present the information needed.

You will be working close with back end developers, system administrators and database administrators. Some of the duties of the database administrators will be part of the role description for the DBD, e.g. data backup, storage and data integrity in addition to other duties.

Requirements:

You have excellent competence within PostGre SQL solutions. Most likely you have had the role at a couple of companies before or worked as a consultant within the area. Experience in transaction intense production environments is required. You are also an expert in performance tuning and monitoring and you know how to manage data storage and Linux. We prefer if you have a background as a developer.

• Flexibility; able to handle changing priorities
• Ability to understand large data models quickly
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
