hela Sverige We are looking for a creative Database Architect to join our groundbreaking MMO game, currently being developed at Massive in Malmö, Sweden.
As our Database Architect, you should be absolutely passionate about games and particularly all forms of online games. You need to have a deep understanding of MMO/online games. You will be part of the production and operation team. Joining the team early, this includes leading the database design and architecture as well as monitoring, tuning and planning scalability from technical and beta tests.
Responsibilities:
• Working closely with game developers on related database initiatives
• Design and develop highly scalable database architecture. The design scope would encompass table designs and optimization techniques.
• Consult on the game?s software and data architecture to ensure maximum database scalability.
• Monitoring and performance tuning of production database systems
• Work together with designers to find the best solutions to realize their exciting new designs

Qualifications:
• Intimate with database environments, including e.g. relational DB, NoSQL, NDB.
• Scripting
• Knowledgeable in scalability techniques beyond simple master-slave.
• Knowledgeable in scaling out using commodity hardware.
• Excellent English (oral and written) communication skills
• Excited about online gaming and MMOs.
