bwin Games AB is looking for an experienced database administrator with a special place in their heart for MySQL on Linux. A person that knows the difference between mutexes in MySQL 5.1 and 5.4. A person that can explain why and what when she/he is doing it. A person that likes the feeling of managing hundreds of databases all over the world with the absolute responsibility of the companies data and in effect - revenue.
Job description:
The position as database administrator involves 24 hours operations and development of the technical database infrastructure.
The main area of responsibility will be the following:
• Installation and configuration of MySQL
• Deployment of changes and upgrades
• Performance trouble shooting and analysis
• Participate as a technical specialist in development- and project improvements
• Proactively solve problems
• Staying up to date with MySQL and other open source data bases
Background and personal skills
We expect you to have educational background in computer science or equivalent work experience.
You are a self-starter, structured and can fluently express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. You are used to taking initiatives and can independently complete the various tasks assigned to you.
