Software developer, Database
• Do you have what it takes to master a distributed database that in one end handles online transactions from 30.000+ clients, and in the other end organizes 100+ Tb of data?
As a Software Developer in the Database team, you will be responsible for the overall design and implementation of our distributed database that handles high volumes of transactions and data. In order to deliver the high performance requirements we need from the system, a lot of our general business logic is implemented in the database. You will participate in all parts of the development work, refine requirements, design, implement, test, and deliver the database. You are also part of the team that does the overall design when new functions are added to the system. All our development activities at ACE are performed in projects and according to the agile software development methodology Scrum.
Qualifications
• Deep knowledge in PL/SQL and preferable in the Oracle 10g environment.
• Broad experience in distributed database and online transactional oriented systems with massive data handling
• At a minimum have a degree equivalent to a Master of Science in Computer Science or similar.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in system design and system architecture.
• Have experience from the tools used within R&D (currently Toad, Oracle 10g, Oracle RAC, Clear Quest, Enterprise Architect and Perforce).
• Speak English and be proficient in writing documentation in English.
• Experience using SCRUM.
