Data Warehouse Application Expert
The DW Application Expert will be working with the overall BI and Data Warehouse solution and design, including architectural topics, data model, ETL strategy, transport strategy, and ingoing and outgoing interfaces and end user / reporting & analytical tools. The DW Application Expert, also focuses on solutions for the performance and capacity of the data warehouse, and also address proper governance in development, transports, and changes.
The DW Application Expert works in close collaboration with the BI team to lead and support development and also works in close collaboration with the ERP Architects.
Responsibilities
To manage that business requirements are transferred into the ERP data warehouse solution in an efficient design and solution.
To manage the Data Warehouse solutions and its deliverables.
To participate in other program activities as required (scope definition, update roadmap, blueprint planning, blueprinting, detailing of Target Operating Model and business case as well as realization and roll-out / data conversion).
To receive, validate and align business process requirements on DW / BI.
To build and maintain a close contact to the E2E Business Demand Experts, Process Experts and Master Data Experts.
To plan and drive workshops and collect business data and reporting requirements.
To test the data warehouse and to support Business Demand Experts in user acceptance testing.
To manage change and challenge mindset.
To ensure the organization?s ?To-Be? vision with the ERP system and verify that the business objectives are met without jeopardising the overall goal ?standardisation?.
To collaborate with business users in designing and constructing reports in the data warehouse solution according to business requirements.
To ensure the data warehouse fulfils performance and capacity requirements
To define data backup and recovery measures for the data warehouse
To work together with the Business Areas and group function to ensure relevant and high quality of the reports.
Your profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in design, build and operations of SAP BW based Data Warehouse solutions
Strong knowledge of the data warehousing and reporting presentation layer
Good Knowledge of interface design to non-SAP systems
Good experience from ERP Data Warehouse system(s)
Basic experience and technical competence in DW and SKF current DW solutions or similar environments, would be valuable
Excellent analytic skills
Business focus and business process understanding
An enthusiastic, innovative and collaborative approach
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from different cultures, disciplines and personalities
Persistent and self-driven
Ability to work in a complex change management environment handling the uncertainty and challenges this includes.
