About the position:
Join the storage technology infrastructure organization for Nasdaq. The main objective for this role is to support the global storage and backup infrastructure using best in class solutions and practices in a mission critical environment. As a member of this global team, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with the team, you will be responsible for supporting global storage and backup technologies in a diverse product field.
As a Data Storage Administrator, your focus will be supporting best in class storage and backup solutions in a mission critical environment. This position is located in Stockholm, but you will work closely with colleagues in other locations as well as other global Nasdaq teams.
Your role and responsibilities:
Manage storage and backup resources using state of the art hardware and software solutions.
Provide high-level technical expertise and collaborate with other teams to design, deploy, and troubleshoot storage and backup solutions.
Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, and data migration projects and new technology reviews.
Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including engaging vendor technical resources.
Conduct performance troubleshooting and tuning, review results, identify bottlenecks, and provide corrective actions.
We expect you to have:
Expertise in enterprise storage technologies and administration
Expertise understanding fiber channel switching solutions and storage arrays
Expertise on enterprise data protection software and solutions
Experience with new product evaluations and POCs
The ability to adhere to best practices and storage industry standards
Proficient understanding of deploying storage solutions including configuration, upgrades, and migrations
Bachelor/Master in computer science
At least a few years of enterprise storage and backup solutions
Experience working with Hitachi Data Systems as well as Brocade data and storage networking products
Additional qualifications we are looking for:
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science, MIS or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Experience working with Veritas and NetApp
More than one Storage Administration Certification
