We are looking for you who are passionate about the possibilities of high-quality data and its value for business. You appreciate the mix of tactical thinking, operational acting, and bringing data management developments into practice. Working both independently and interdependently within agile product teams and across global functions and countries, you are motivated by collaboration and educating others and achieving great results with data. Openness is a key word for you, and you share and live the IKEA culture and values.
We believe that you have proven training in data management, information technology or information management, computer science, or strong retail or business experience working with data. You have solid experience in working with data on an operational level and have a solid understanding of modern technologies in the data area. You have worked with cloud-based solutions and you understand what good data quality means and how it should be applied. Preferably, you are also very experienced in working in an Agile or DevOps working set-up and you have good knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• Processes and methodologies of data management and how to manage data across the lifecycle - from collection to deletion
• Common requirements that relate to data, from data management frameworks, standards, and policies to relevant legislation
• Communication and change management around data, helping others to see the role of high-quality data in business processes, thereby securing the optimal value of data across the IKEA value chain
• Knowledge of data quality processes and techniques and how to drive improvements in operational data quality
• IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
As a person you perform work with care, accuracy and with attention to detail You have the ability to take a pragmatic and decisive problem-solving approach and like to solve complex problems with others. By acquiring new knowledge and skills, as well as new methods, digital systems and processes you improve performance of the business through data. Thanks to strong written and verbal communication skills you easily communicate the importance of good data management you actively collaborate with others (incl. virtual) to achieve critical business goals. In addition to this, you also have the ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business.
You have a passion for home furnishings and creating a better everyday life for customers and co-workers through data. Even better if you have been working in retail or with direct customer contact!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position you will have the exciting task to bring data management knowledge to agile product teams, and thereby work to ensure that accurate, trusted and relevant information is available throughout the IKEA value chain to bring added value for customers, co-workers and suppliers.
You will:
• Educate others about the role of data in business processes, and the importance of high quality and usable data to get business value thereby ensuring accurate, trusted and relevant data in systems, enabling the wider use of data throughout the organisation
• Implement the data governance framework supporting data collection, handling, and archiving as part of overall data lifecycle management - ensuring that available data is t for purpose
• Lead in operational implementation of data governance framework, including policies and guidelines, in data systems, working across teams and systems to secure ow of data
• Actively identify and solve data quality issues within and across data systems, working collaboratively with co-workers agile teams and other parts of the business
• Provide input for improvements to the data governance framework
• Support in securing data models in data systems
• Act as an ambassador, promoting data as a business asset, while respecting societal expectations, cultural, legal and IKEA norms related to data
• Work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering towards ecient and eective optimisation of data
In this role you will report to the Data Management Chapter Lead.
