Where You'll Belong
The Vehicle Propulsion Data Analytics team analyzes data with a focus on battery, charging and electric drive to gain insight into how our products work and ensures the customer experience gets better every day. Do you like to improve the quality of our cars by bringing better and faster feedback to developers and product designers? Then the role as Software Developer in our Data Analytics team is the place for you to prosper.

What You'll Do
You will play a key role in empowering data-driven product development at Volvo Cars by guiding the organization to becoming a more mature and comprehensive data-driven business.

You will provide statistical analysis of data to help stakeholders gain better insight into product behavior, you will use machine learning and statistics to make predictive models for vehicle systems and visualization techniques to present complex results in a clear and understandable way.

You will also get to develop your own clean code in languages like Python or R as well as review your colleagues' code and provide feedback. You will hold and take part in workshops to share useful skills and experiences in the team. Last but not least you will automate continuous feedback on software quality.

Key Competencies
• Apply statistical methods to analyze and solve problems
• Proven skills in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Knowledge of visualization tools, e.g. matplotlib, seaborn, ggplot2, plotly
• Ability to write well-structured, tested, and readable code in Python that complies with PEP 8 and other best practices
• Basic scientific computing libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels
• Basic proficiency with git
• Comfortable developing software with Linux systems

Meritorious
• Experience within the automotive and diagnostics domain
• Business intelligence tools, e.g. Dash, Streamlit, PowerBI, Azure App Service
• SQL and NOSQL database technologies.
• Cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS
• Distributed computing technologies such as Spark, Dask, Hadoop, Jax
• Computing platforms such as Databricks, Jupyter, Sympathy/CDE, Orange
• Virtualization/containerization technologies such as Docker, chroot, KVM, venv
• Linux server administration
