You will together with the team
Develop, implement, and maintain state-of-the-art YOLO object detection models tailored for real-time applications, specifically in vehicle maintenance workshops.
Develop and evaluate different methods and frameworks to enhance YOLO object detection model performance in a production environment, optimizing data collection and annotation processes.
Utilize Active Learning techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the training process by selecting the most informative data points from large-scale video streams.
Optimize data annotation processes and manage the challenges of handling large volumes of video data in real-time, ensuring high-quality model training data.
Utilize Agile methodology to ensure efficient and value-driven project delivery.
As a key member of our Data Science team, you will collaborate with diverse teams across the organization, from R&D to Sales & Marketing and beyond, as well as with other Data Science teams at Scania.
Our dream candidate
We are looking for someone with:
A background in engineering and a Master's degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
Solid knowledge and experience in Image/Video processing, YOLOv8, evaluation metrics for object detection (such as IoU and mAP), Deep Learning, Python, AWS, and Active Learning Frameworks.
The ability to work independently and effectively within an Agile environment and to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
As a person, we expect you to be structured, communicative, and service-minded. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
