Are you interested in working as Data Scientist with responsibility for digital data processing driving Skin Health active ingredient design and discovery, in central Stockholm?
Dfind Science & Engineering, a part of the Randstad corporation, are now hiring a consultant for an assignment focused on Data science and Bioinformatics. I will be your Consultant manager and your contact person within our organization. I will do everything I can in order for you to get what you need to fulfill this role. In this specific role you will be responsible for digital data processing, data analysis, data management and other bioinformatics-related tasks driving active ingredient design and discovery, as well as ensuring efficient handling and access to existing data.
You will be part of a team with 10 Scientists, Chemists and Molecular biologists, at the clients office and you will solely be managing the tasks related to data science.
Your job
• Apply wide range of bioinformatics and computational methods and techniques to analyze and model large volumes of systems biology data and chemical data, to identify new patterns and hypothesis supporting generation and validation of new scientific concepts related to skin health
• Develop new protocols and procedures for data management
• Commission, validate, and train others in data management procedures.
• Communicate results; within working area, cross functionally and to external community (eg. Conferences and publications)
Who you are
You will be managing all tasks related to data science in the company and it is therefore important that you as an individual are able to work self-sufficient in this area. We believe you are enthusiastic and a self-motivated team player. Not everyone love bioinformatics as much as you hopefully does :). We believe that you, as most Scientist, enjoy solving problems and finding innovative solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
• MSc or PhD in Data science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology or Computer Science or equivalent
• Prior relevant work experience from pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is meritorious
• Ability to work in English speaking environment
• Expertise in advanced computational biology methods such as systems biology and network analysis, machine learning and data mining tools and modelling
• Deep knowledge in study design and able to design study plans with proper statistics
• Proven track record in creation and life cycle management of databases
