Working tasks

Within Klarna's Risk division the main goal is to allow as many consumers as possible, worldwide, to use our service safely while detecting and controlling that the risks we take as a company are detected and handled correctly. To achieve this we deploy state of the art methodologies and tools (forensics, pattern recognition, network analysis and advanced statistics), to deliver the decisions that make Klarna's business model possible. But what happens when a customer doesn't pay?

Klarna's Dunning Analytics team is looking for new members. The main responsibility for this team is to improve Klarna's debt collection work by performing analysis on our dunning data and providing the debt collection department with strategic input. Within this team you will constantly be challenged with new and exciting work tasks, and as the team is new there are great opportunities for impacting the direction in which the work is developed.

As a dunning analyst you will:

• Set up analytical models and analyse the result of different dunning actions in order to optimise our efforts in getting customers to pay

• Develop new models to track risk metrics connected to debt collection, both for markets where we currently are active and for new markets that we soon will enter

• Explore large data sets in order to identify underlying patterns, trends, and key risk drivers

• Have fun!

Requirements

The analyst we are looking for has a strong analytical mind-set and is comfortable working independently with numbers. You need to be innovative and have the ability to see solutions where others see dead ends.

The ideal candidate has:

• SQL and programming skills

• A couple of years experience from a debt collection organization.

• Minimum bachelor degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science or Engineering.
