Who are we?
AMRA is an international medical technology company founded in 2010, with headquarters in Linköping. Today we are a total of 30 employees, with the need to expand. AMRA was recently chosen as the winner of the DI Digital Startup Tour, a contest among Sweden's most exciting technology companies!
What does AMRA do?
We develop world-class tools for measuring body fat distribution and muscles, based on research conducted at CMIV at Linköping University. Using our software and Big Data, early detection of individuals at risk for e.g. myocardial infarction, diabetes, liver disease, and musculoskeletal disorders is possible.
Job Assignments
As a Data scientist, you will provide the link between our Clinical science team for research and our DevOps team for product implementation. An important overall aim of the Clinical science team is to understand the relation between body composition and disease risk. In your role, you will develop the informatics methods used to analyze individual imaging data in the context of big data sets to support the different therapeutic area needs. Being responsible for the development of our informatics platform entails building databases of image and patient data, and developing the architecture of the statistical software.
You will also provide data analysis support in both internal and external research projects and develop data visualization techniques that facilitate data interpretation and enable efficient communication of analysis results to clinicians and patients. Scientific communication and producing presentations are important parts of the job.
Who are we looking for?
We think you are a researcher, statistician, data scientist or similar with a few year's work experience in biostatistics. We want you to have a M.Sc. with a strong mathematical education, preferably with a focus on e.g. medical modeling. You should have experience of programming in Python, R or Matlab.
The position requires an analytical and accurate person with a deep interest in data mining and mathematics. You should also be a good writer to contribute to abstracts and publications. Very good language skills in English are required and international experience is a plus.
