The organisation is currently building the business and technical capabilities that are required to become the next generation, data-driven Telco. - utilizing tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Impala, R, Python and several other Advanced Analytics, Big Data and visualization technologies.
Given the centrality of data to Telia's strategic plan, and the importance of predictive analytics to effective decision making, the role will have significant exposure to senior management and will be able to directly influence the direction of Telia's operations by finding innovative ways to monetize data.The successful candidate and the rest of the team will have a clear chance grow in their roles and beyond.
The role will sit in Purple+, a pool of strategic resources tasked with pushing the innovation agenda within Telia.
Purple+ develops and tests concepts and service propositions to Equip Telia for a fast-changing future. It operates across the group and explores new revenue streams, target business models, and ideas to further improve the customer experience. Working closely with partner organisations such as Spotify and Accenture, Purple+ looks to quickly iterate through the build-measure-learn cycle.
Deliverables
Drive the establishment and development of a Big Data based, business for Telia Company.
Design and conduct advanced analysis and predictive modelling, making sure data is turned into actionable insights.
Manipulate data and help develop data and processes to ensure utilization by end customers.
Work closely with business and technical teams, participate and lead data insight related projects.
You will be responsible for covering the full end-to-end analytics flow.

The ideal candidate has:
8+ years of experience working with BI/Analytical solutions
Intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems that may not always be well-defined.
Passion for numbers, statistics as well as strong business and financial acumen.
In-depth understanding of the business value of the data in any new business application and service.
Experience in statistical analysis and investigating theories in a scientific manner.
Experience of working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.
Experience working in a complex IT environment with high-volume transactional systems.
Experience from various analytical and visualization tools.
Experience working end-to-end with solutions from ideas and the preparation of data for analysis to insight and business outcomes.
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
Fluent in English, spoken and written
