As a data scientist at Filmstaden and Odeon Cinemas Group you will apply your analytics prowess towards business problems so that we can create inspiring entertainment experiences for every guest.
Key responsibilities
You will combine business understanding, data manipulation, programming, and data visualization skills to drive better business results. You will be part of the Insights & Analytics team and will work with various business functions to identify important questions and answer them with data. Responsibilities include:
Creation and administration of predictive models including the use of AI and ML. Two focus areas here are attendance forecasting and drivers of customer satisfaction.
Assist the commercial team in predicting the future behavior of our customers so we can create personalized offers both on the individual and the customer segment level.
Ensure usability of predictive models through integrations with existing data sources and IT tools.
Create reports in Microsoft Power BI by extracting, manipulating and presenting data from our data warehouse and other sources, e.g. Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Google Analytics.
Strong communication skills and being able to present and explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources.
Requirements
Academic degree in engineering, computer science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics or other highly quantitative field.
Have at least 1-2 years of working experience in the field of data science.
Experience in statistical modelling and familiar with manipulating large-scale structured and unstructured data.
Translate and communicate models into workable insights.
Strong skills in SQL and R and/or Python.
Knowledge in Microsoft Power BI data modeling and DAX.
This position is based at Filmstaden's HQ in Solna where you will join the Northern Europe Insights & Analytics Team within Odeon Cinemas Group. You will work with the biggest cinema brands in the Nordics, including Filmstaden in Sweden, Finnkino in Finland and Odeon Kino in Norway.
