You will be collaborating with Product, Software engineering and Business and helping them get insights from the data but foreseeing the potential of it as well. ABOUT UTOPIA
Music is incredible. But as an industry, it has been slow, complicated, and disparate. While the tech world has moved into the future, the music industry continues to be shaped by inefficient systems of the past. At Utopia we believe there is a better way. It is our goal to build a better world for music.
Since 2016, Utopia Music has developed an innovative big data technology that can track in real-time music consumption on radio, streaming and tv. Our technology tracks online music sources and translates them into meaningful music consumption reports for royalty collection. Our data will enable artists and music copyright owners to increase their revenues and to be paid faster. The solution we're building does not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents. Rather, it promises to boost their cash flows, and those of the artists they support, forming a system that works to the advantage of all participants.
Our co-founders are seasoned technology serial-entrepreneurs. The management team has deep experience in running listed companies, working in the music industry, building tech companies as well as in finance. We have recently closed a major financing round and have a 40+ strong team in Zug and Stockholm.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as the lead data strategist, setting up the processes and helping in building the data organisation.
Utilizing analytical, statistical and programming skills to collect, process and validate business critical data.
Analysing data for trends and patterns, and interpreting it with a clear objective in mind.
Communicating findings to all stakeholders.
Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with software developers and machine learning engineers.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in data science
Experience with data processing and data visualization
Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modeling experience
Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages (i.e. Python, R, C++, Java)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data science, Computer science, Engineering, applied mathematics, or related discipline
Organizational and leadership skills and personal integrity
Driven to meet objectives and having aptitude in decision making
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English (Swedish is a plus)
Great interest in the music industry
