Your Role as a Data Scientist
In this collaborative and inspiring role, you will:
• Partner with various departments to identify their data needs and transform them into actionable insights
• Develop strategies for leveraging data in Production & Logistics to drive continuous improvement
• Create and pilot machine learning models, neural networks, and other data-driven solutions in close cooperation with business and technical stakeholders, fostering early adoption of innovative approaches
• Lead introductory data science workshops, provide coaching, and serve as a technical expert in projects and meetings
• Nurture collaboration across Scania's data scientist teams and Traton Production, fostering a data-driven culture and promoting best practices
• Craft engaging dashboards and visualizations to facilitate informed decision-making
• Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including managers, operators, domain experts, and other data scientists
• Showcase your findings and our cutting-edge projects to visitors at the Smart Factory Lab, inspiring them with our innovative work
Your Profile
We are looking for a friendly, innovative, and solution-oriented team player who possesses:
• MSc or Ph.D. in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
• Proven ability to communicate complex data and concepts across a variety of audiences
• Experience working with business process owners to design, develop, document, test, and implement data-driven solutions
• A background in operations within the automotive sector
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in English
• Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with relevant frameworks
• Solid data modeling and visualization skills
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS
• Supply chain and logistics experience
• Familiarity with common tools, data strategies, and methods
