At Rocktec Engineering Services, we are establishing an advanced analytics team within Epiroc.
Mission and job description
You will be tasked with developing analytical processes and models designed to deliver high quality insights that enable Epiroc to differentiate its offering. As a first step to realize data-driven performance, you will take active part to model the modes of operations from machine, environment and mine process data for the global installed fleet of Epiroc products The data can be used to build suitable models that can be used in predicting improvements of, and ultimately also optimization of, machine KPIs and mining operations to make the mining processes more profitable. In your daily work, you will collaborate within the cross-divisional Epiroc community of data scientists and domain experts. You will take a lead role in dedicated projects within advanced analytics and assess product usage. You will help Epiroc to establish the best balance between physics-based and data-driven approaches for our digital twin concepts. The end goal is to ensure strategic and operational, condition-based decisions are informed by data-driven, actionable insights.
Experience and knowledge requirements
You have a Master or Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience, within data science, software engineering or mathematics. It is advantageous if you have been working with data analytics of industrial products, and/or have a background of the mining industry.
Personality
You are good at networking and build good working relationships. You communicate effectively, and work well both independently and as part of a team. Inter-cultural skills is a must since Epiroc and our customers have an international background.
