Data Privacy Specialist
CEVT Information Security & Data Privacy, which is a part of HSSE, Facility & Business Support within Business Office, manages the regulatory processes, tools, systems and people that are needed to prevent, detect and respond to threats to information assets. This includes responsibility for ensuring preservation of confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, data and personal data, so that such assets may be protected regardless of how they are formatted, whether being processed, in transit or at rest in storage.
CEVT Information Security & Data Privacy is also a normative, monitoring and supportive body for the organization in matters related to information security and data privacy.
The purpose of the position of the Data Privacy Specialist is to have a dedicated function to assist in driving and managing matters related to primarily data protection and privacy, but also information security in general.
This position reports to the Director of Information Security & Data Privacy (DPO).
The Data Privacy Specialist is a key function within CEVT that will serve as the focal point for data protection matters. This includes informing and advising, internally and externally, on all matters related to the management of personal data, including obligations pursuant to GDPR. It also includes developing and maintaining policies and procedures, developing and maintaining awareness-raising and training activities as well as developing and maintaining internal audit programs and participate in external audits and impartial oversights in all matters related to personal data.
- Assist in developing, maintaining and effectively implement a strategic approach towards data privacy and governance in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and relevant code of conduct.
- Provide practical advice and solutions to the CEVT business, demonstrating solid knowledge of data processing and information security arrangements.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on compliance with personal data legislations, e.g. GDPR.
- Monitoring data protection and privacy enforcement actions and guidance.
- Analyzing and assessing risks related to personal data processing operations.
- Assist in communication and cooperation with supervisory authorities.
- Responding to internal and external communications and requests regarding personal data processing and the exercise of rights under GDPR.
