Who are we, and what can we offer?
Volvo Trucks Digital & IT is responsible for End to End IT (architecture, compliance, requirements) and located in Gothenburg. In the role you will be responsible to both support and independently perform tasks and quality reviews in the Volvo Trucks Data Protection Office based on priorities from the DPR and the DPR Office Manager for Europe. We will work as a team and you are expected to contribute with your competence and experience in our work. We have a lot of interaction with Group Compliance and Volvo Trucks Legal and you will be expected to collaborate with them on a need basis. The DPR office is embedded in our Business Office function and you will functionally report to the Volvo Trucks Information Compliance Director.
Main responsibilities
Responsible for assisting with the management of the data privacy, data protection, data usability, performance and the integrity of the privacy solution
Identify areas of improvement in local practices relative to managing data privacy
Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders
Administration and actions in the Volvo Trucks DPR office, such as
Executing Data Subject Requests in alignment with Group Compliance
Data Catalogue Manager (Volvo Group ROPA) for Volvo Trucks
Reviewing Notifications from Group Compliance
Performing Retention activities
Administrating and potentially performing Trainings
Communication and web-site updates
Privacy Compliance project on a need basis
Privacy compliance analyses and consequence reports on a need basis
Coordinate with other TD/BA's on a need basis
Be the co-driver of legal and cyber security compliance culture within Volvo Trucks
Qualifications
Master's degree in law, preferably with a focus on IT and compliance legislation
Master thesis in Compliance or AI legislation is a bonus
Practice in compliance at a law firm or in a DPO office during the studies
Practice from IT or Process & IT department work is a plus but not a must
Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate proposals and results and negotiate options with the business and/or IT project teams. Ability to influence without authority
Great analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations
Understanding of software applications design tools and languages
Understanding of design for software applications running on multiple platforms
Competent in the interpreting numeric data, and understanding of statistical principles
Data literacy: finding and managing data, cleansing data, manipulating data
Ability to perform operations on large datasets
Excellent English, written and spoken
