Job description and main responsibilities
Supply Chain Optimization is a function within Service Market Logistics in the Volvo Group. We are now looking for more people to join our growing team. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team of six, with different skill sets and a common target to ensure high-quality forecasting and an optimal theoretical mix of inventory and service. Our work is being done through projects, self-organized/liquid teams as well as the traditional style, and we are based in a newly renovated office in Eskilstuna.
On our journey of digitalization, you will as Demand Inventory Planner develop tools and solutions for improving forecasting and inventory management performance. This by combining traditional techniques with future technology, as well as combining large data sets with new algorithms, using Python, Java and SQL in an Azure environment.
Preferable competences - Who are we looking for?
Experience in Python, Java and SQL programming preferably in the cloud
Experience in Azure, DevOps and agile working methods
Preferably knowledge in AI and/or machine learning
Strong analytical skills and ability to tell a story based on data
Comfortable with learning new technologies
Ability to work across organizational boundaries and levels to get results
Ambitious self-starter who enjoys a good challenge, and a creative problem solver with a high personal drive
Communication: Aptitude to analyze and develop a deep and holistic understanding and to be able to package it in ways that are responsive to various groups of stakeholders
Some knowledge of or experience in logistics, forecasting, planning and supply chain
Education
At least 3 years from a post-secondary education within data/system/logistics engineering or/and mathematics/statistics or similar areas
