Who you are
We are looking for a people-centric leader, with strong technical expertise, to co-drive our product roadmap for IKEA. As a person, you are passionate about leading business, and building and developing a strong team of business intelligence professionals. Ideally, you have experience working as a technical lead, consultant and/or a people manager within the Data & Analytics space.
You like solving difficult business problems with data and analytics, working with state-of-the-art technologies, and working with people. All this while you solve real problems for IKEA customers and co-workers.
You are a business intelligence & analytics practitioner with an extensive background in data, BI, and analytics and 5+ years of experience in leading teams.
This leadership role will work with creating opportunities and solving customer pains with data, BI, and analytics, joining a diverse team within Data & Analytics Selling & Payments in Customer consisting of data analysts, data scientists, BI engineers, data engineers, and data stewards based across Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, and India.
You are an expert when it comes to:
• modern methods for extracting insights and making decisions based on data
• relevant programming languages (such as SQL, Python), as well as industrial usage of modern cloud platforms for data processing and analysis
• BI tooling like Microsoft PowerBI, Looker (Studio) and industry best practices on business intelligence
• BI tooling performance optimization
• data storytelling on both hyper-scaled sales and payment data as well as web analytics data * digital product development, with a strong appreciation for the importance of rapid validated learning cycles for optimizing performance long term
Your past experiences include:
• formal qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD) in computer science, econometrics, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
• diverse professional experience in working with data analytics and BI * demonstrable experience working in Agile or DevOps communities of engineering practice
• leading change in a large organization
• building a team, recruiting and developing world-class team members
Your responsibilities
As a Data & Analytics Leader for Selling and Payment area within the Customer Domain, you will lead a world-class team, with direct responsibility for driving business value, as well as managing people processes, incl. ensuring the health and well-being of your team. You will be responsible for improving data-driven decision-making and actively bringing analytics into our product strategy work.
The mission of the Customer Domain is to provide a convenient, inspiring, and fun shopping experience to the many customers of IKEA. IKEA generates massive amounts of data and unlocking the value from this data is the foundation for achieving the mission. Your role will include deriving insights into customer behavior and preferences, delivering advanced analytics use cases and enabling others to get value from our data.
As part of a cross-functional leadership team, you will work collaboratively with Product, Tech, and UX Design leaders to inspire and empower product teams and ensure that we attain our desired business objectives (OKRs). In addition, you will work closely with key data and technology enablement units, incl. Data Architecture, to secure coherent, effective product development across the organization. The Bi and reporting solutions you are responsible of delivering will have a global impact and go across Digital, Retail, Markets and Stores.
