About the team, role and responsibilities
You will be part of a large team of Software Developers responsible for delivering our new off the shelf product X-stream CSD ? a highly sophisticated Central Securities Depository (CSD) system ? to major CSDs. Working in a cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers and Testers, you will take an important part in designing and impacting its functionalities and future from scratch. As this is a complex high performance software with high demands on quality and performance, you can expect to be challenged throughout your work
• Take an important and central role in the development process across departments and phases and act as X-stream CSD?s own subject matter expert
• Take ownership and build X-stream CSD?s functional architecture
• Design and develop the complex and highly sophisticated data model
• In collaboration with Business Analysts, work with the customers for increased business knowledge and understanding in order to provide product specific guidance
• Review and provide feedback on business requirements
• Provide expertise and recommendations on software design specifications and test scenarios
• Work with client base on data migration
Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:
• Education Required: University degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar.
• Experience Required: At least 5 years of work experience in database modeling and design for enterprise Java applications based on Hibernate, EJB and Spring using tools such as SAP PowerDesigner
• Work experience of SQL and other scripting languages such as Perl or bash, preferably related to Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
The following merits are highly meritorious:
• Experience from data migration using tools such as Talend.
• Work experience of data warehouse design
• Talented in Java, object oriented design and patterns
• Work experience of JBoss/WildFly or similar application server with Linux as operating system
• Experience from working with financial systems especially clearing/settlement systems
• Experience from optimizing database performance
