Vattenfall Business Division Renewables is responsible for wind power and biomass. Investments in wind power is an important cornerstone to deliver our road map and we plan, build and own wind farms in five countries, onshore and offshore. Investment in biomass fuel is key to further reduce the emissions. We have about 330 employees.
The Wind Resource team is a competence centre for both onshore and offshore wind projects that accomplish the measurement campaigns, identify new site opportunities, deliver the most optimal layout, and energy yield assessment in current and future onshore and offshore windfarms in Vattenfall.
We are looking for
Data Manager
Data Manager is responsible for wind measurement assets in the Business Unit Onshore. The area covers controlling data acquisition, quality and liaising with suppliers and service contractors to maintain good availability of the assets.
Main tasks
• Responsible for purchases, movements and calibration of the different equipments.
• Coordinate with the Wind Resource Analyst to establish the measurement campaign and to execute it.
• Keep high availability of wind measurement assets (meteorological mats, sodars, lidars) in the different countries.
• Manage the different contractors and suppliers in the different countries.
• Coordinate the preventive and corrective maintenance of the measurement equipment.
• Regular check and analysis of data to detect errors in the systems.
• Report in a monthly basis of the status of the equipment.
Qualifications
You have technical academic degree for example in engineering, physics or electronics and interest in renewable energy and climate. Working experience in the similar role or in the areas of physics, atmosphere and mathematics are seen as an advantage. You need excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
You are a good co-operator and communicator who enjoy being in a role with lots of contacts. You have an ability to work in a structured way to achieve your goals. You have well founded and clear values and seeing things also from an ethical perspective is important for you.
Location
Stockholm (Solna). The position will require some travelling within Europe.
