• Demonstrable evidence of setting up a Data Lake, with practical use of PaaS and IaaS technologies
• Microsoft Azure in depth and good working knowledge of AWS, understanding the differences (advantages and disadvantages) between the Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS environments
• Practical use of a Data Lake environment
• How data moves in and out of these for reporting
• Storage of data within the Lake
• Practical experience of PaaS and IaaS environments (SaaS would be a bonus, but likely be familiar to the right person, even if it is a secondary skill)
Technical Knowledge - Advantageous:
• Interfacing Data Lake with applications and databases, especially IBM (Netezza and others)
• SaaS application and their design
• Enterprise Data Warehouse working knowledge, with Enterprise Data Architecture a definite advantage
• Experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure PaaS and IaaS technologies
