The core mission of this role is to support the Data Experience Organization (DXO). The DXO data governance team in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity and accessibility across the organization. The primary purpose of data governance specialist is to ensure the operationalizing of the policies and procedures in collaboration with data management operation, data owners, and data & AI product team. All about the role
The role of a Data Governance Specialist at Electrolux involves contributing to development and maintenance of Data Governance policies, procedures, and guidelines. In addition, this role collaborates with business units and data & AI product team to identify required procedure to be compliant with internal and external policies.
What you'll do:
Develop and implement data and AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Provide guidance on data management, including data lifecycle management, data quality, and data risk
Collaborate with business units to identify critical data elements and establish data protection protocols.
Collaborate with data product and data platform team to ensure seamless data and AI governance in each domain
Work closely with data governance officer to roll out governance capabilities for protecting valuable data assets and support data-driven approaches
Define guidelines and guardrails together with data product teams to ensure alignment with architectural principles
Implementing data governance processes, role and responsibilities to ensure clear accountability for managing data assets
You will support establishing a solid data and AI governance framework and ensuring that data is managed as a valuable corporate asset, contributing to the organization's success and competitiveness in the ever-evolving data-driven business landscape. You will support Data Governance Officer to educate organization about data governance principles and awareness about the data governance policies and procedures.
Who you are:
Academic degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Management or comparable training
3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies is highly valued.
Knowledge of Data Governance Principles: In-depth understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards In-depth understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards. Familiarity with data related regulations such as GDPR or CCPA, EU data act and experience in compliance
Data Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of data management practices, including data quality, data classification, data lineage, and data lifecycle management.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and coaching skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify data governance issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
You demonstrate
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Experience in driving federated data governance in data mesh and domain-driven environments
Excel in communicating and translating complex principles and concepts effectively cross-functionally
Holistic awareness of the data and analytics domain and functions in an industrial context
Ability to work in a multi-cultural global environment
Fluent in English
