The challenge?
The PR industry is changing rapidly and analytics has taken center stage. We are ramping up our Data & Analytics team with the mission to build a data driven customer journey for our SaaS product. As a Data Engineer you will have a leading role in applying state-of-the-art data processing and analytics technology in order to increase the knowledge of our product and business, and ultimately to help our users to reach the world with their stories. In our product portfolio we have Mynewsdesk, one of Europe's leading PR platforms and Mention, a global leader in the media monitoring and social listening space.
What will you do?
• Develop Mynewsdesk's systems integration strategy using data lake/warehousing approaches. Set up pipelines for analytics and provide expertise within database and data pipeline design
• Work to increase data quality and operationalization in order to deliver actionable insights into key business questions
• Manage and give input to the data engineering roadmap
• Use data and & analytics to automate tasks in the customer journey
• Build predictive models and conduct analyses in order to increase the knowledge of Mynewsdesk users, which includes designing and building churn prediction functionality
• Build & manage the web tracking infrastructure
• Work closely with Customer Success, Sales and other customer-facing staff to deliver insights to assist business critical decisions
• Work closely with the Head of Data Analysis to understand and design solutions with the greatest possible impact on the business
That is you!
• You have experience within some or all of the following languages and tools: Ruby, Python, Scala, Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Segment, Sagemaker
• You have excellent database and data warehouse knowledge and are used to working with technology such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, S3
• You have experience with data transformation and in developing data pipelines
• You have experience working with AWS or a similar cloud solution and have an interest in Big Data architecture
• You have an interest in machine learning and data visualisation and enjoy extracting knowledge from data to solve business problems
• Skills that would be a plus: experience working with Salesforce or other business systems
• You are fluent in English
