About The Role
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer/Analyst to join our engaged and tech-savvy Data Engineering team! You will be a part of IT and collaborate with stakeholders all over the organization. The team is currently in an expansion phase with new architecture under implementation and a cloud migration plan under design. This is a great career opportunity for a data engineer or analyst to grow in front-end, back-end, and design matters. You will also have possibility to influence new end to end data architecture and flows and designing data solutions (On prem, Cloud and Hybrid).
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Implementing traditional database & DWH concepts to provide self-service reporting solutions in Power BI
• Creating power BI reports
• Building and maintaining data pipelines
• Identifying data quality gaps and improve data quality
• Design and build ETL/ELT processes
• Support in creating and improving functional and technical design of current and existing solutions.
Your Profile
To thrive and succeed in the role you should be passionate about data, technical solutions, modern software development methodologies and learning new things related to data. You have an eye for details and are a driven person that has demonstrated "pulling up the sleeves" to reach your goals.
We believe you have:
• Relevant academic degree e.g., civil or industrial engineering, computer sciences, math, statistics etc.
• Experience in working with Analytics & BI tools and services (we use the Microsoft stack MS SQL, SSIS, Power BI, Azure)
• Experience with on premise DW and Cloud solutions
• Practical experience with developing end to end data pipelines within a data warehouse/data lake
• Experience in designing data models
As a person you are result-oriented, and you are an inclusive team player with a willingness to grow and develop. You have an ability to mentor other developers in all aspects of their engineering skillset. You are fluent in English and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Other qualifications that it is good to have:
• Finance industry, or other regulated industry
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Working with data on cloud (e.g., Azure SQL, ADF, Data bricks, Snowflake and similar)
• Other programming skills such as Python, Scala etc.
• Create and maintain technical design and data architecture
