hela Sverige ICA Banken has the ambition to become a data-driven organisation. To enable this, we are investing in establishing a data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We are therefore looking for a dedicated data engineer to be a part of the establishment of the data platform.
This is your job:
Welcome to a high-performing team that will have a fundamental impact on ICA Banken's journey to becoming a data-driven organisation. We are part of the Data & Analytics department and work on the establishment of a data platform on GCP, which is our new target architecture. The strategy is to move data from our source systems to GCP and develop data products to strengthen the organisation from both the business and technology sides and make ICA Banken a data-driven organisation.
As our data engineer, you will be:
Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines, databases and data infrastructure within our cloud data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Acting as a leader to other data engineers including guiding and mentoring junior data engineers
Ensuring that data on the data platform is available for usage
Establishing and developing data pipeline design and development, database architecture and management
Establishing and developing data integration and data modelling including integrate data from diverse source including databases, APIs, streaming data and external data providers
Establish and enforce data governance and security practises
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes, architecture and best practices
Monitoring and insurance of data operations and ML operations
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a university degree in engineering, programing or similar alternatively at least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. We assume you have knowledge of data warehousing platforms including (dbt) data modeling design and query optimization strategies.
To thrive in this position, you need experience from working within a cloud platform and their data services and preferably experience from migration data from on-prem to the cloud. You are passionate about creating value from data and supporting the organisation becoming data-driven. You have experience applying data governance frameworks that ensure data integrity and quality.
To be eligible for this position, you should be fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish is considered a plus.
As a person, you are analytical, structured, goal-oriented, passionate about data and driving positive change in the organization. You are equally comfortable talking to technical experts as you are with those who have never worked with data. You thrive in a collaborative and agile environment.
