What you will do
At Volvo we sell a spare part every second. To enable good service and logistics to our customers excellent control and processing of data is of utmost importance. In our current transformation journey you will help us to take our service market logistics area and data platform to the next level.
Your future team
Organizationally you will belong Volvo Group Data Architecture/Engineer Chapter with home location in Gothenburg. Here you can collaborate share and learn together with fellow data engineers and data architects from other delivery-teams within Volvo Group. In your daily work you will belong to an agile team in the Service Market Logistics area where you work together with other data professionals and business stakeholders.
These are challenges waiting for you:
* Build complex data pipelines in Microsoft Azure
* Optimize existing data pipelines
* Support in building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources to Azure
* Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to provide required data structures and enable new insights to drive business value
* Keep the data secure across the end-to-end solutions
* Evaluate and improve existing data analytics solutions
* Develop your competences, learn new tools and ways of working
Who are you?

* 5+ years of experience and relevant education background
* Excellent skills in building data pipelines using Azure services and related technologies such as Data Factory, Databricks, Python & PySpark
* Strong skills in writing SQL queries and navigate relational databases.
* Experience in building ETL/ELT processes using Informatica PC/IICS, Microsoft Integration Services or similar tool(s)
* Comfortable working in a diverse, complex, and fast-changing landscape of data sources.
* Data modelling using 3NF, Kimball or Star-schemas.
* Experience in AGILE project methodology and practice.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools such as Qlik, SAP Business Objects.
* Fluent communication in English.
* Proactive problem solving, innovative attitude and strong team spirit.
