We are hiring a Data Engineer to join our work with building a more efficient platform for data driven analytics at ICA. Our digital transformation journey continues to become more data driven. One Key Element in this, a huge technical transformation, is migrating our present on-premis BI/DW platform to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
There is a great potential in developing a new data platform from scratch to elevate performance, security and scalability to enable ICAs Business needs with increased needs of analytics. Hence, we now are scouting for you, willing to excel with your previous experience in GCP, Cloud, SQL, Python to build and refine data pipelines, and set up routines and rules for our future engineering work.
This is your future job
As our Data Engineer, you will build and maintain data flows and data warehouses in our new Google platform. You will develop code for gathering, scheduling activities for data imports and exports, retrieve data, map data, create efficient data layers to the analytics team.
Mostly you will use SQL and Python to optimize our use of distributed infrastructure and cloud infrastructure.
You will be using Open Source products in cloud environment and agile work with DevOps mindset, transforming the ideas of the analytic needs into a coded solution, taking charge of test and release, then maintaining the solution.
You build it - You run it.
As we recently started building our new platform - much is still on premis and you will be an important player in our teamwork to build, excel and improve present performance into GCP.
You will also be a part of establish guidelines and routines for best ways of working. We are continuously expanding our GCP teams and we prefer if you do have interest and experience in security, DevOps processes or GCP platform. Our ambition with our work is to embed advanced analytics, AI and Machine Learning naturally into our business processes.
We are looking for you
We want you to have a Relevant Engineering University Exam some years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and data lakes - in cloud environment. This could be GCP, or AWS. You need to be skilled in Python and SQL. You need to have a valid work permit for Sweden or an EU citizenship.
