About the job Swedbank is increasing its analytical capabilities and diversifying its data landscape, looking at new ways of capitalizing on data, with the ultimate goal of better knowing and hence better serving our customers. In doing this, new platforms and technologies for discovery, advanced analytics and big data will be explored and introduced. This will be done in close cooperation with the business and IT.

What you need to succeed To succeed you need good knowledge and understanding of general banking business. You have software development or maintenance experience. You should have high interest in engineering and agile methodologies. As a Data Engineer/ ETL Developer within our team you need to be service minded, social and communicative. You are structured, systematic and have interest in details. Team-player is your middle name and you love to solve problems together with your team and colleagues.

This means that you will:

Work with analyses, design, development and test
Support and cooperate with other team members

Our Technologies that you either have knowledge about or are eager to learn:

ETL development in Ab initio or any other commercial ETL tool
General concepts of Hadoop platform and different file storage formats
SQL and RDBMS systems ( Hive, Teradata, Oracle)
NoSQL database knowledge (HBase)
DevOps tools (GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Dockers, Kubernetes)

And then on top of that:

Able to communicate effortless in English, both in writing and in speech
Merit is experience of work within BI area and Data Lake
Merit is technical knowledge of Hadoop and ETL development
Merit is to have been working with both maintenance and development
