As we continue our Quest to democratise financial services, Zettle's Platforms Alliance is on the lookout for a passionate Data Engineer to join our inspiring Data Platform Team.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to co-tackle a wide range of challenges together with a crowd of talented People driven by a shared ambition to create hassle-free solutions helping small businesses succeed in a world of giants.

The skills to succeed
Broadly speaking, we are mainly programming in Java and Python while our tech stack also comprises Kotlin, Airflow, Spark, Beam, and BigQuery. Besides, everything is hosted on Google Cloud Platform and our infrastructure is defined in Terraform (we are using both continuous integration and deployment).
With that in mind, we think that the following skills and know-how would greatly help you to be successful in this role:
Strong software engineering fundamentals and backend development experience
Solid knowledge in an OOP language, preferably Java, Kotlin or Python
Experience with SQL and analytical databases such as BigQuery
Data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam
Airflow or other workflow management platforms
Working in cloud environments (GCP or AWS)
