The assignment involves being involved in the development and management of the customer's Big Data solution with a focus on backend development. In the assignment, the consultant will primarily work with our Hadoop cluster where our data lake and data warehouse are located. Work with SQL server is also done. The consultant works in an agile team to provide the business with data by designing, building, and documenting ETL flows. The role includes, among other things, proposing technical solutions and proactively improving these, but also supporting other employees in the group.
Tasks
• Technical requirements work, i.e. contribute to requirements management by transforming business needs into more system-related requirements.
• Design and develop ETL flows.
• Continuous further development of EDW/data warehouses.
• DevOps-based development.
• Plan and carry out tests on your own and together with others.
• Contribute to the team's joint development in terms of working methods and delivery ability, as well as willingness and ability to share knowledge.
• Operate and perform upgrades and system improvements, such as components within the Hadoop stack.
• Provide support and assistance to internal and external parties.
• Participate in work with IT security and work with continuous improvement.
• Work with other IT solutions in the area may be relevant to the assignment.
• Security audit.
Requirements:
Mandatory requirements
• College/university education in the field of IT.
Skills and experience:
• At least 5 years of work experience from participation in projects or management where BI/DW solutions have been included.
• At least 2 years of work experience developing data flows in a Hadoop environment.
• At least 3 years of work experience of developing in SQL to build data models.
• At least 2 years of work experience developing shell scripts in a UNIX/LINUX environment.
• At least 3 years of experience with agile working methods in projects or administrations.
Value added criterion:
• At least 2 years of work experience building automated tests and deployments in the BI field.
• At least 2 years of development experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
• At least 2 years of work experience in Data Governance.
Personal qualities:
• Good interpersonal skills and initiative.
• Flexible and adaptable to workload.
• Outgoing and clear in communication.
• Humble and easy to build trust with.
• Works independently and goal-oriented.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
