Job Description
As a (Senior) Data Engineer at Devoteam you will work as a part of our specialized team helping customers to innovate and improve their business. The main purpose is to design, develop and deliver original, high-quality and tailor-made data solutions.
We believe that as a Data Engineer you will use your knowledge and experience to find the best - rather than the easiest - answers.
You will communicate closely with the customer to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Being part of a team also means you have a shared ownership and responsibility of helping the team in the development process to solve the right problems in the right way. Some of the daily duties will include designing data warehousing along with developing data pipelines and databases for customer projects.
Qualifications
This is a client-facing position where good communication skills are the key to success. We believe that you are enthusiastic about your work, open to new ideas and service-minded. We also expect you to be structured and have the ability to prioritize tasks. With that comes the capacity to multitask and run several projects in parallel.
As our team member you should have a passion for tech and enjoy teamwork to exchange ideas and support other team members through challenges related to data architecture, engineering and the overall technology stack. It is important to have a drive to learn and develop your own skills - and we will be happy to actively support you in these efforts!
To succeed in this role we believe you have:
Solid programming skills in Python (or equivalent, i.e. Scala, Java)
Experience working with databases, data pipelines and data warehouses
Cloud experience - preferably with GCP, but AWS and Azure are also applicable
Full proficiency in English
