Job Description

As a Software Engineer you will be a part of a cross-functional and multi competence team that is fully responsible to develop, build & operate tech products to fulfil the H&M Group business needs. You will become part of the product team Paid Digital and Affiliate that is working with the group's Paid Media solutions, with the aim to present our new and existing customers with a relevant product selection and inspiring content. The team collaborates with various internal data teams and external vendors for performance marketing and feed management. Therefore, data flows through a multitude of internal and external touchpoints and systems.
The Customer Attraction product area is responsible for all digital capabilities across the H&M group that attract new and existing customers into our stores, both digital and physical. This includes the technology supporting all our paid and organic marketing activities, such as paid and organic marketing channel technology as well as core enablers such as attribution, media mix modelling, content optimization, and 3rd party data sources.
Responsibilities
You will work as the spider in the web, with a high understanding of the need for data from performance marketing perspective and drive towards optimizing our paid channels. You will collaborate closely with product owners and other product teams in Business Tech, share best practice as well as discuss and motivate design solutions and coordinate with other teams to design optimal patterns for data ingest and egress, as well as lead and coordinate data quality initiatives and troubleshooting. You will translate customer needs into features, user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as working together with the team to solve defects, plan releases and collaborate in refining and updating the backlog.
Furthermore, you will:
• Design, develop and build real-time data pipelines from a variety of sources (APIs, data warehouse, etc.)
• Manage existing pipelines and create new pipelines from a variety of sources (relational, XML, etc.)
• Propose and implement solutions for data pipeline stabilization and data quality checks
• Design and build solutions to track data quality, stabilize data pipeline etc. to ensure reliable operations
• Support in analysis and verification of model output and work with data scientists to improve accuracy of the model
• Ensure the architectural and strategic technical roadmap for the platform and be in the forefront of new capabilities adding to the product
• Ensure best practices are followed across architecture, codebase, and configuration
• Design new ways of working and support roll-out to the organization
• Identify commercial opportunities leveraging data and models
• Eliminate waste and deliver on time
We believe that you:
• Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Ability to communicate and explain data and its implications to various stakeholders
• Ability to evaluate different options proactively and solve problems in an innovative way
• Comfortable in working with external product teams to establish the optimal data integration patterns/solutions
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical requirements
• Beneficial if you have knowledge of SQL, Python, Spark, data visualization
• Have a strong customer focus, commercial mindset and innate curiosity
• Have a demonstrated history of working according to agile practices and workflow
• Have experience from working with scrum and agile methods in dedicated product teams, where the team is responsible and accountable for sprint planning, retrospectives, demos and bigger roadmap planning
• Be fluent in both written and spoken English
Furthermore, we believe that you have previous work experience within performance marketing, especially SEM, Display and Affiliate marketing. It is very relevant that you understand the need for data in performance marketing context. It is meriting if you have worked with any of the marketing technologies described above as relevant for Customer Attraction.
