Our Data strategy is essential for the success of our digital journey, and we are now looking for a skilled Data Business Analyst to join our Global Data team to help realize our vision and lead along the way.
What you'll do
You will hold a key role within IT and Data Governance/Management within AstraZeneca Operations. You will work with partners from the business areas and develop key relationships with Business Process Owners as well as across IT functions. You operate with a high level of interactive communication, with a broad range of partners on all levels, to set clear direction on our Data Strategy for others, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity. You reach the right results through understanding our information flows on a variety of different system landscapes, interpreting what will be the right future solutions, cooperating and influencing with both different user groups as well as global IT to solution and implement in line with our data standards.
Accountabilities:
* Setting standards for processes and capture demand/requirements for the Global IT functions that supports our Data Strategy across Operations
* Ensure that the methodology, quality and compliance standards always are considered in our internal processes and standards for business analysis and design
* Identify ways for IT to contribute to achieving and exceeding business objectives and drive the delivery of creative business solutions to craft maximum competitive advantage
* Pursue and explore opportunities to improve our data with AstraZeneca peers across the Enterprise and with external partners
Skills and Capabilities
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate good communication and presentation skills as well as a high customer focus. As a person, you dare to challenge, influence and negotiate. You will be encouraged to have practical experience in the role from leading and facilitating change and be confident in business analysis and process design. This should be paired with a proven foundation of general technical knowledge, leadership skills and Lean thinking experience.
Essential
* Previous experience as a data lead/data SME in projects and programs. Understanding the data related activities needed as part of an application implementation or an analytics delivery.
* You will have validated experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and critical thinking to deliver results.
* Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, craft and develop innovative solutions.
* Experience of working in a regulated environment.
* Strong engagement, communication and partner management/collaboration skills
* Good written documentation skills.
* A passion for data processes and their importance in driving business performance.
Desirable
* Degree in relevant field or formal certification in business analysis practice.
* Facilitation skills and design thinking experience.
* Lean training.
* Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context.
* SAP Experience (SAP MDM; SAP MDG; SAP ECC)
* Cross industry business awareness/business domain knowledge.
