We are looking for a passionate person who spent at least 5 years' operating as a data architect and who has extensive knowledge of patterns for different types of data architectures e.g. streaming, IoT and big data analysis. You have proven advanced training in information technology, computer science or equivalent. To ensure success in the role you are also experienced in Data Warehouse Design, MDM, Analytics and Data Quality initiatives.
You have knowledge of:
the standard patterns and services of the cloud offerings on Azure, Google and other cloud platforms
engineering and designing information technology systems that enable agility and flexibility to respond to customer needs
structuring data and information in both processes and information technology systems to ensure reliable, accessible and relevant information, always securing the appropriate levels of privacy and security
capturing, interpreting and translating business requirements in terms of information, data and technical architecture, database technology and data model design
open source and/or cloud-based solutions that manage large dataset and data sources
DevOps and agile development practices
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
The Data Architect will be responsible for translating the business operating model into robust data architecture, including logical and physical models, leading to implementation. Moreover, you will work closely across initiatives to be involved in all required design specifications and ensure that data flows and integrations fulfil business needs. You will develop a feasible data design, using your insights on possibilities and restrictions of data architecture.
You will:
analyze master data management strategies and models to diminish architectural risks and propose alternatives to improve the overall integrity of the data architecture
regularly review the effectiveness of existing architectures and come up with improvements
review, re-engineer and approve physical data models of acquired data to ensure data adheres to Ingka Centres common data model
implement information security and data privacy measures to ensure protection of business data according to rules and policies set out by business
provide guidance to engineering teams on how to source and unlock data from both within and outside our organization.
work with data modelling (conceptual, logical and physical (for implementation))
create/record business rules (together with line business)
manage and update glossary/modelling and ensure it is used for implementation
record deviations from model (that occur in systems)
work with data formatting (syntax, labelling, attributes, storage location), related to master data management
work with data quality topics (ensuring above formatting, cleansing (if software is needed, etc.)
work with data retrieval (ensuring we have clear and understood locations where data is stored for people to easily access), reference log/education where to find/use data
In this role you will report to the Data Governance Manager, Ingka Centres.
The role will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
