We are now looking for Data Architects to join Group Digital at IKEA. We believe you get excited and creative, thinking outside-the-box, with data and its great value and potential to the business. Moreover, we believe you have retail experience working with customer and co-worker facing digital products and therefore have knowledge and experience in:
• the Data & Analytics field with ingestion, storage, event-driven architecture, data modeling on all levels, APIs, KPIs and dashboards
• cloud and on-premise data architecture design
• designing data architectures with batch and streaming, ETL/ELT, large volumes of unstructured and structured data, variety of database technologies
• working with core data objects like customer and product with all its aspects in the data lifecycle
• communicating effectively across organisational, business, and technical boundaries
• GDPR compliance and design of PII related data when it comes to e.g. co-worker data
• advocating and communicating what your team does to create trust and authenticity, while being responsive to challenges
• DevOps and agile development practices, in which digital products evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing cross-functional teams
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Data Architecture team, together with a dozen data architects, in Group Digital you will be working with the aspects of data principles, standards and guidelines while being embedded in one or several customer-facing product teams designing and implementing the core data capabilities.
Your main responsibilities are to:
• work with the business and technology stakeholders to iteratively translate business problems and opportunities into information- and data architecture solutions
• drive capabilities, design, data modeling and development of data architecture from a data-centric perspective
• collaborate closely with data managers, data engineers, data scientists and other roles in actively advising key stakeholders including product and platform owners on future data and technology options
• analyze and define master data management directions and propose alternatives to improve the overall integrity of the data architecture and how data is collected and shared across
• act as main point of contact to resolve data architecture issues
• be a leading voice for data architects within the People domain and contribute to community of practice
• contribute to data standards, guidelines, data strategy and directions
TOGETHER AS A TEAM
The Data Architecture team is the driver of data architecture standards and guidelines across the domains. As well as the competence development centre around design and development of Data & Analytics - with new and existing technologies and agile methods to deliver at pace. We set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in a fast-moving environment.
A couple of exciting movements in the People domain is the through unlocking and make people data reliable through the people data hub. Another one in parallel is the whole transformation of the people domain landscape. People domain targets People Planning, Management, and Talent.
The product teams in Group Digital are responsible for designing, developing and running co-worker facing digital products with the goal of delivering an IKEA unique, best in class experience today and tomorrow. We believe that creating digital products that supports our co-workers to better serve our customers is key for our success.
